Mid-Week!

It is hard to believe, but this week is already half over!  Having a four day week can be nice. :)  Here are some reminders of what we are studying this week as well as upcoming due dates.

Important Reminders
***Picture Day is tomorrow! Dress your best and don't forget that smile! 

*The last camp installment is due this Friday.  It is $69.  Remember to pay using www.myschoolfees.com. 

*Vision and Hearing Screening will be held next Tuesday, Sept. 15th

Math

Topics of Study:  We will continue to review a variety of fourth grade skills as well as solve word problems.  Our main focus this week is the traditional algorithm of multiplication.  We will look for connections between this strategy and the partial products strategy that many of us are already using.  We are seeking to be efficient in multiplication of larger numbers.

Dates to Remember:  Math page Unit 1#29 due Wednesday
                                       Math page due Friday (will be assigned in class Thursday)
                                       CR Quiz #2 Friday (on CR #3 and on what we have been studying in 
                                       class)
                                       IXL Contract #1 due Monday, Sept. 14th

Science

Topics of Study:  We will review the steps of the scientific method and draw conclusions using the results of our gummy bear experiment from last week.  We will also begin our study of the spheres of Earth.

Dates to Remember:  BrainPop quiz on the scientific method- due Friday morning at 9:00
