Weekly News...

We are now in our second full week of fifth grade! You all are doing an amazing job.  I am so proud of you! Keep up the great work!  Below is a summary of what we will be studying this week along with important due dates.  

Math:
Topics of Study:  Multiplication!!  This week, we will be reviewing arrays, multiplication combinations, factors, multiples, prime and composite numbers, and square numbers.  We will be building arrays with cubes and square tiles.  Learning is DOING!

Wednesday: Cumulative Review #2 due 
Thursday: First Cumulative Review quiz (will cover CR 1 and 2 and class work)

Science:
Topics of Study:  We will begin discussing the difference between observations and inferences.  We will do a small experiment and read a funny book to go along with our discussions.
