Well, it is officially 2016! :)
I hope you all enjoyed your time off of school and were able to relax. January is a time for a fresh start! We will be talking about goal setting this week and how to set ourselves up for success in the new year. We will be setting the tone for the rest of the year by working very hard this week! Here is what we will be studying:
Math:
We will review adding/subtracting fractions and will begin a new unit on decimals. This week's focus will be on reading decimals, comparing them to fractions, and understanding the place value of decimals.
Important Dates:
Wednesday, Jan. 6th- Cumulative Review (CR) #13 due
Monday, Jan. 11th- IXL Contract due
*No quiz this week! :)
Science:
We will be completing in-class projects on Humans Impact on the Environment. See the post below this one for more information!
Important Dates:
Friday, Jan. 8th- Science Project due (at the end of class)
We will resume table points, party points, and Homework Stars this week. Winners will be announced next Monday! Stay tuned!
