What's Happening This Week?

Welcome, November! :)
I hope everyone had a safe, fun weekend and was able to get an extra hour of sleep! 
We will be working hard this week.  Here is what is going on in our classroom:

Math:
What We Are Studying:  We will be solving volume word problems--applying what we have learned about volume to solve authentic problems.  We will have a test on Friday.

Important Dates:
Wednesday: Unit 2 Study Guide due (on volume)
Friday: Volume practice page due; Volume Test

Science:
What We Are Studying:  We will read the book Butternut Hollow Pond and discuss food chains and food webs more in depth.  We will begin our study of photosynthesis at the end of the week.

Important Dates:
Thursday: short quiz on ecosystem vocabulary (study guide sent home Monday)---be able to apply the definitions
