I hope you have had a great week so far! We still have 2 more days to go before Thanksgiving break, so don't have turkey on the brain just yet! ;) Let's work hard and finish strong! I know you can do it!
Here is what we are studying:
Math:
We are exploring equivalent fractions this week! We will use both area and linear models and create equivalent fraction posters to prove the fractions are the same size.
Important Dates:
Wed., Nov. 18th- Cumulative Review (CR) #10 due
Thur., Nov. 19th- CR quiz on CR#9 and #10
*No IXL this week! :)
Science:
We will conclude our study of photosynthesis. We will do a lab with Skittles candy to see how glucose is formed during photosynthesis. We will also continue to observe our grass seed plants to determine if the only three essential ingredients for plant growth are water, sun, and carbon dioxide.
HOMEWORK STARS:
These will be posted in the classroom this Friday. If you are one of the stars, please see me for your homework pass. Good job! Keep up the great work!
I hope you all have a wonderful week and a great Thanksgiving holiday!
I am VERY GRATEFUL for each of you and consider it a great privilege to be your teacher!
Love you all!
