What's Going On?

Happy Monday, Everyone! :)

I hope everyone had a great weekend and that you are ready to ROCK THIS WEEK! 

Here is what is going on around the school this week and next:

• Tomorrow night is Zaxby's Night! Come out to  the Hwy 150 location and enjoy some tasty chicken between 4:00 and 9:00.  Ten percent of all proceeds will come back to BGIS!
• Next week is Red Ribbon Week!  We will enjoy dress up days.  They are the following:

Monday- "Red Day" 

Wear red today; Sign Pledge; Bring a canned good to donate to the Firehouse shelter. I CAN say no to drugs and bullies!

Tuesday- "Pjs Day"

Your choices are the key to your dreams! Wear your pajamas on this day. (*Remember dress code.)

Wednesday- "Superhero Day"

Be someone’s super hero and stand up to bullying and drugs!

Thursday- "Throwback Thursday"

Wear clothing from any decade- 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, or 90s as we throw drugs back!

Friday- "Pink Out Day"

Wear pink. Scare away drugs, bullying and cancer. Promote healthy bodies!

• The Scholastic Book Fair will be next week in the BGIS library. Come buy some great books and support our school!

Math:

What We Are Studying:

We will continue to explore volume! We will be building boxes and solving tasks involving volume. It will be a lot of fun!

Due Dates:

Wednesday, 10/21- Cumulative Review (CR) #7 due

Friday, 10/23- Math page assigned in class Thursday due

Monday, 10/26- IXL Contract due

*No CR quiz this week

Science:

What We Are Studying:

We will complete our discussion of the distribution of water on Earth (salty and fresh). We will then begin to study food chains and food webs. We will follow energy and matter and see where it goes! :)
