What's Going On?

Happy Tuesday, Everyone! :)  

I hope you all enjoyed your day off yesterday.  We had a great start to our week today, and we only have three days left! Let's work hard!  Remember, we are beginning a new nine weeks.  It's a chance for a new start!  Let's work hard, stay focused, and have fun this nine weeks! I know you can finish the semester strong! 

Here is what is going on in class this week.

Math:

We will begin our study of volume.  We build prisms and fill them, and we will discover what volume is and how it is found using unit cubes.  Remember to check the new directions on IXL that begins this week.  Don't settle for good; aim for GREAT! 

Due Dates:
Thursday, Oct. 15th-CR #6 due 
Friday, October 16th- CR Quiz #5 (short quiz)
Monday, October 19th- IXL Contract due

Science:

Great job on the sphere interaction projects!! You worked hard and hopefully learned a lot! We will be sharing these projects ( a few at a time) over the next  couple of weeks.  I am looking for a place to display them around the school!  I am proud of y'all! :)  For the rest of the week, we will be exploring the distribution of water on the Earth.  You will not have any quizzes or homework in science this week; you will receive grades based on classwork.

None this week

Around the School:
*Fall Picture orders are due this Friday, Oct. 16th.  You can turn these in to the front office.
*BGIS Zaxby's night next Tuesday, Oct. 20th from 4:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.  Go to the Hwy 150 location (across from Walmart) and get something to eat!  Ten percent of all proceeds come back to our school! Yay! :)
